Foreign Exchange

Another very important factor to be considered when buying or building property abroad is the transfer of funds from the UK to the destination in which the property you are buying or building is located.

Although many Caribbean islands have their own local currency, we recommend that you transact your purchase in US dollars, as it is easier to re-sell US dollars than local currency should your transaction abort for whatever reason.

Our foreign exchange partners offer excellent rates of exchange and no commission charges are payable. You can opt to buy your foreign currency under a Spot Contract (buy and pay for currency now) or a Forward Contract (buy and pay for currency up to two years from date of contract with the company).

Visit www.sterlingexchange.co.uk for an information pack or to learn more about transferring your funds safely at excellent rates of exchange (ref: TropCon).
