Discovered artefacts and fossils indicate that the Bahamas may have been occupied as early as 300-400 AD. When Christopher Columbus arrived on San Salvador in 1492 it was occupied by Lucayans, but introduced diseases, hardship and slavery eventually wiped out these peaceful people. Colonial rule for 325 years ended when the Bahamas gained independence from Britain on 10th July 1973.

Whether you’re investing in real estate on one of the Bahamian islands or visiting for a holiday, the Bahamas has a great deal to offer that includes some of the most beautiful waters on the planet.
